Exhibitions In the majority of cases the NISH sport history exhibitions are drafted to serve as touring shows - intended to be presented to the public in connection with other events. They also provide the institute with the opportunity of presenting and illustrating the results of its research endeavors. The evolution of particular kinds of sport as well a regional developments and the history of sport associations are being recorded. The one permanent exhibition at Hoya is the institute's Hall of Fame of Lower Saxony sport. It honors prominent Lower Saxony sportsmen and -women as well as individuals from Northern Germany who have brought their influence to bear on the development of sport. The exhibition is supplemented by a video that invites the visitor to tarry awhile by featuring a wide range of Lower Saxony sport history.
